[Editor’s Note: We are excited to have Kristi joining us as a Featured Speaker at CHEA’s Parenting & Homeschool Convention THIS WEEK, May 15-17, 2025 in La Mirada. This is just a preview of what Kristi will be sharing with us, as she encourages homeschool moms in how to get organized and manage family tasks with joy. Registration is still open.]

Let’s be real for a second: running a household, homeschooling, managing meals, keeping up with laundry, planning lessons, wiping noses, refereeing arguments...it’s a lot. And if you're anything like I was in the early years of parenting and homeschooling, you might feel like you're doing everything for everyone, all day long.

Here’s the thing: you weren’t meant to carry the whole load alone. Somewhere along the way, we moms forget that we have helpers right under our roof – they just need a little training.

This year at CHEA’s Annual Parenting & Homeschool Convention, I’ll be speaking on this very topic, and I’d love for you to come! I’ll be sharing a session called: Training Kids to Help (Without the Whining!) 🔥

But today, I just want to plant a seed...

We want to be the best for our families – loving, present, faithful moms. But when we take on all the tasks, we unintentionally send the message that we’re the only ones capable.

The truth is you don’t have to do it all – and better yet, your kids can learn to help — and grow in character while doing it.

But here’s the catch: Teaching kids to help isn’t just about assigning chores or printing a chart. It’s about cultivating a family culture of teamwork and responsibility ... and sometimes that starts with us as moms learning how to let go of doing it all ourselves.

Here are just a few little “red” flags that it might be time to re-evaluate how the work is shared in your home:

Friend, you’re not alone. And you’re not failing.

You may just need a new framework for training your kids to help in ways that actually work — without power struggles, whining, or making yourself the enemy.

At my upcoming workshop, I’ll be sharing a life-giving approach to raising capable, responsible kids — without turning into a taskmaster or losing your joy in the process.

We’ll talk about:
✅ How to set realistic expectations by age
✅ The heart behind chores and training
✅ How to create a rhythm that brings peace instead of pushback

But most of all, I want you to leave with hopeand a vision for what’s possible when you stop doing it all, and start working with your kids instead of constantly for them.

If this topic hits home, come and join me at CHEA this year! I’d love to meet you in person and encourage you right where you are.

In the meantime, you can grab a free digital copy of my Sanity Savers for Moms book — it’s packed with simple tips to bring more calm, joy, and peace into your home. You can grab your free copy at KristiClover.com/sanity.

You're doing sacred work, my friend. You don’t have to do it all alone.
