If you’ve ever looked around and thought, “The world my kids are growing up in feels so different from the one I knew …” you’re not alone. Many of us have felt that tug—the desire to raise our children anchored in faith, shielded from shifting cultural winds, and equipped to stand strong in a world that doesn’t always share our values.
That’s why we homeschool.
It’s not just about academics or schedules. It’s about discipleship. It’s about shaping hearts, minds, and character. And it’s about preserving the freedom to do it—for our families, and for the ones who will come after us.
That’s also why we need CHEA.
The Christian Home Educators Association of California (CHEA) has been walking alongside families for decades—helping them start, grow, flourish, and finish their homeschool journey. They’ve cheered us on when we felt uncertain, equipped us when we didn’t know where to begin, and kept watch over the laws that could impact our freedoms.
Here’s the thing: freedoms don’t keep themselves. If we want homeschooling to still be an option for our children’s children, we have to protect it now. CHEA is one of the few organizations in California that stands watch year after year, so you and I can focus on teaching fractions and phonics without wondering if we’ll lose the right to do so.
When you join CHEA, you’re not just signing up for a list of benefits (though you’ll get those too—conferences, resources, curriculum insights, and a statewide network of support). You’re joining a movement of families who believe that raising the next generation in the nurture and admonition of the Lord is worth every ounce of our time, effort, and prayer.
You’ll find encouragement from moms who’ve been where you are, wisdom from parents who’ve graduated their homeschool kids, and community with those who understand the unique joys and challenges of this life. And you’ll be standing shoulder to shoulder with others who want to see homeschooling remain strong—not just for us, but for the next wave of families who will pick up the baton.
The truth is, homeschooling can be hard. There are days when we question if we’re doing enough, when the laundry is piled high, the math lesson has gone sideways, and someone’s in tears (maybe us). But there’s something deeply reassuring about knowing we’re not walking this road alone—about knowing there’s an organization dedicated to cheering us on, keeping us informed, and making sure the freedom to homeschool is here for years to come.
So let’s keep homeschooling strong—for your children, for my children, for the grandchildren we pray will walk with the Lord. Let’s raise arrows together. Let’s build homes where Christ is the foundation. Let’s leave a legacy worth passing on.
Join CHEA.
Because this is bigger than one family—it’s about keeping homeschooling alive and thriving for generations.
Faith. Family. Discipleship. Legacy. That’s what we’re building.
P. S.: Join CHEA and empower your family's Christ-centered homeschooling journey! CHEA provides the support, resources, and community you need to thrive. Let's work together to ensure homeschooling continues to flourish for generations to come. What are you waiting for?
