No. CHEA events and the annual Convention are open to everyone. Membership lowers what you pay: Friend members get the member rate, Defender members get 50% off CHEA-hosted events, and Warrior members attend free. Register with the email address on your membership and the rate applies automatically.
Your membership renews automatically every year, one year after you join, at the price shown above until you cancel. Your next renewal date and billing details are on your account page. Members who joined before automatic renewal began can switch it on from their account page.
Sign in, open your account page, and choose Cancel membership. Your benefits continue through the end of the year you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
Yes. Many families start with Friend and move up later. Sign in, open your account page, and choose a new level. Moving up takes effect right away and you pay only the difference for the rest of your membership year. Moving down takes effect at your next renewal. Questions? Membership is an annual fee that unlocks the benefits above for your family. A donation is a gift to CHEA’s work with no benefits attached, given once or as a monthly gift, and many families do both. CHEA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so donations are tax deductible.
