Roger Wheelock-Vital Need to Relate His-Story (History) to Today's World

George Orwell said, “The most effective way to destroy a people is to deny and obliterate their understanding of their own history.” French writer and communist supporter Milan Kundera wrote: The first step in liquidating a people is to erase its memory. Destroy its books, its culture, its history. Then, have somebody write new books, manufacture a new culture, invent a new history.” If we don’t know our history, we won’t know the context of our lives today, and we won’t understand God’s purpose for us in the future. Viewing history through God’s eyes is unfathomably valuable and relevant for today.
