Big College News: Homeschooled Wanted-No Accreditation Necessary! - Jean Burk

Did you know colleges all over America are actively recruiting homeschool students? Admissions officers constantly tell us, “I’ll take all the homeschool students I can get” and “Homeschool students do very well at our school.” What does it take to get a homeschool student into college? Accreditation, once a foreign term in home schooling circles, is now commonplace in everyone’s vocabulary. Don’t be swayed by the myths, fears and half-truths surrounding the accreditation issue.

The Skills You Need to Live Life Well - Jonathan Brush

Why do we think that the best way to launch children into adulthood is to tell them that, by the age of 18, they must know exactly what they want to do for their lifelong career – so they can get the exact training and/or education for that job? Does that strategy make sense in a world where technology constantly disrupts ... everything? Come learn about the Personal Triangle: A flexible and easy-to-understand framework to help you and your child find and focus on the critical transferable skills to not just get a career, but to live life well.

The Path to NCAA Eligibility - Natalie Mack

Can homeschoolers receive athletic scholarships? This workshop focuses on how to successfully navigate the NCAA eligibility journey with discussion about Core Course Worksheets, getting scouted, travel clubs, college-bound summer camps, and the life of a D1 athlete.
