Parents and their teens are invited to attend this FREE, fun, informative evening on navigating high school and beyond. There are many different pathways open to homeschooled students after high school, and our goal is to give you an overview of several of them.
Our desire is to show parents that not only is it possible to homeschool through high school, but you can be successful and prepare your student for whatever God may have for him after graduation, including college. Teens are encouraged to come to learn more about the possibilities as well as the college admissions process.
NEW THIS YEAR! The College & Vocational Fair is a free event in the afternoon before the sessions begin. It will feature representatives from many vocational schools and colleges and universities who will be happy to meet you, give you literature about their particular school, and answer your individual questions.
This entire event is FREE and open to the public, though registration is required.

The Success Crisis: Why Misunderstanding Success is Destroying our Young Adults, Jonathan Brush
Many love to beat on the current young generation for their lack of work ethic and say they will never be “successful.” This is odd when you consider that the entire formal education system and culture is designed and optimized to make people successful. What if learning to thrive – defined as owning your purpose, serving others through healthy relationships, and living with resilience – was far more important than becoming successful - defined as being rich, famous, and/or powerful? What if becoming successful actually runs directly against what is necessary to thrive? What would we need to understand and do to equip our children to thrive instead of equipping them to be successful?
Is Your Student College Bound?, Penny Ross
If you think your student might be headed to college, this workshop will provide an introduction and overview to the process. We will discuss the basics of higher education including the different types of schools (community college, UC, CSU, private college, Christian college, Bible college, and vocational school), admissions guidelines for homeschoolers, and a short primer on financial aid.
